William H. Tullis, M.D.
William H. Tullis, MD is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He attended medical school at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center at San Antonio from 1974 to 1978 and did his internship and residency at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver Colorado. His final year of residency (1981-82) he was the Chief Resident of Liaison Psychiatry at Colorado General Hospital.
After residency he served in the US Air Force as the Chief of Mental Health Services for four years at Castle Air Force Base in California. Following his tour of duty in the military in 1986 he came to Austin and started his private practice of psychiatry with Neuropsychiatric Associates. He specializes in psychotherapy and medication management for a broad range of psychiatric problems in adults, ages 18 on up. Dr. Tullis grew up on a farm near Lubbock, Texas.
He is married to Jane Derebery, MD, who is also a native Texan and who practices Occupational Medicine with Concentra Medical Centers. They have two grown sons who also make their home in Austin.
